Practical stuff/production logs

7th March 2022 Final Project starts

Some early iterations of the two rooms just seeing how everything fits custom table asset made in 3ds max and an m4 downloaded from TurboSquid.com

Planning Research pitches

first three weeks spent coming up with ideas planning proposing an idea and starting work on the idea

Next week spent making outside environment building it up placing house lampposts and later some trees

started work on outside environment which can be seen through windows

Next week detail added to interior of building sandbags over window carpet, table, guns, fireplace, shelfs and some more small assets dotted around and some lights!

more assets put into scene more details added before the main features/mechanics did one mechanic which was walking slower so you could observe everything better

Decals can be added to a game to increase the detail. Decals are used all throughout games for things like bullet holes, blood splats, dirt and much more you can use many different images for decals which you can import into your game and use I scattered some different dirt patterns and a blood splat to give my level a bit of story or mystery so the player feels more driven to figure what happened

Figured out how to use decals and how to colour them and put them on walls planed out what is going to be done next week

Asset list for game

Trello Board list of assets

I decided to add particle effects to the level to make it seem more atmospheric and realistic and in real life this kind of environment would be covered in dust and sand from outside constant explosions would shake the building nonstop making the dust fall from the room particles effects added for more atmospheric effect eg sparks ,smoke plume

More Decals added some assets have been rearranged particle effects added inside and outside the building
